It went on to become BBC Three's highest ever rating entertainment series. Howard was also found to have misrepresented Davies' views on the disabled and the BBC noted "that the programme did not fully represent his comments, which were, that it would be in the best interests of disabled people, and others, to be allowed to offer to work for less than the minimum wage, if the alternative were no employment at all".
The broadcaster also agreed not to air the episode again due to their misrepresentation of Davies' position. Due to overwhelming demand he further extended the tour twice into It sold in excess oftickets,  including three sell-out shows at the Hammersmith Apollo as well as several large arenas such as Wembley Arena and Manchester's MEN Arena. He was out cycling with his elder brother, Russell, when the accident occurred and left him with sharp headaches for about a year. His siblings were the first to find him during his first seizure and after that, the seizures came months apart until medications were able to subdue them considerably. Daniel completed his high school education and moved on to study Modern Economics History. The show which first aired on October 29 grew so well that it won the spot of the Best Show ever to be shown on the channel. The success of the show led to the commissioning of two extra seasons in Subsequently, more series were added until when the 9th began showing on a new station, BBC Two.
